Policy

Child Safety Statement

AEK is committed to being a safe, welcoming and respectful place for every child.

DRAFT. This policy is placeholder text generated to establish structure. It must be reviewed and replaced with committee-approved wording — especially the Child Safety and Photography Consent policies — before public launch.

Our commitment

The safety, wellbeing and dignity of every child who attends an AEK event is our highest priority. We commit to creating an environment where children are seen, heard and protected.

Supervision

Parents and guardians are responsible for the direct supervision of their children at all AEK events. Committee members and volunteers assist, but do not replace parental supervision.

Reporting concerns

If you have a concern about a child's safety at any AEK gathering, please speak to the President or Vice President immediately, or email hello@myaek.org confidentially.

Working With Children Checks

AEK is progressively rolling out Working With Children Checks (WWCC) for committee members and volunteers working directly with children.
